What do you think of nose rings?

Wrong.

Class has nothing to do with being wealthy or white.

And it really has nothing to do with any sort of superiority.

Are you unfamiliar with the myriad threads on dcum discussing the topic (whether in terms of attire, grooming, baby names, or very specific behavior)?

The reality is nose piercings and tattoos simply aren’t considered classy. Quite the opposite.

As an example: if Kate Middleton pierced her nose, she would quickly be called out for such a tasteless choice…and her status, wealth, and whiteness wouldn’t shield her from criticism of a trashy fashion choice.

If the OP is having some sort of midlife crisis prompting her to crowdsource whether to pierce her nose, I suggest she try something else. Or perhaps pop on a fake one (they have clip ons).

A quick google shows plenty of royalty with piercings other than a single lobe piercing including Queen rania, Queen letizia and some lower ranking members of the British royal family. Try again weirdo.

A small nose stud or even a loop can look good on a reasonably attractive person but the nose rings that look like the kinds that pigs/cows have look just ugly.

Am hoping it is just a passing fad??

Yuk. Not just unattractive, but hideous.

Piercings pretty much anywhere else can be sexy, within limits.
Just not in a nose or corner of an eye.

Tats aren't my thing either, though a few small ones can be attractive.

But just because I find something repulsive, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't do it. It is your life, not mine.

Nobody displays a nose/tongue/eyebrow piercing at work. People who make our clients uneasy aren't good for our business.

That's for my industry. Other industries have different expectations.

Tacky.

I used to think they were cute on some people but now I think its a really dates look and literally every one looks better with them.

Not everyone has to be your cup of tea and that's ok.

I happen to like nose piercings, and I have one. You don't have to like it. It doesn't affect you.

But, nauseating? Come on OP. Grow up.

I had a nose piercing as a teen, and then it became trendy/mainstream and lost all appeal for me. I think it CAN look nice but the nose itself has to look nice. I have made up a correlation that men who wear nose rings are hoes.

I work in a VERY conservative industry and no one cares about my nose stud as I'm sure is the case with all sane people.

I am Indian and it is very common for women to have nose rings (even Indian or Indian American women ). They have been part of the culture for a very long time.

They look best on the intended culture.

Its just a piece of jewelry in a teeny tiny hole pierced by a needle. You stop liking it, throw it away and hole'll close itself unless you've been wearing heavy pieces for decades.

Its not a large black tattoo and you don't you've to shell out big bucks to a plastic surgeon.
