“Mean Girl” apologized. What now?

Completely icing someone out is absolutely mean girl behavior. Otherwise, if a person didn't fit well with a group, the result would just be a slow drift/fade. No one has to be best friends with someone they don't like, but there has to be collusion/coordination within a group to abruptly ice someone out. That is horrible behavior and should not be tolerated by parents, although clearly many do tolerate if not even encourage it.
