And with Wilson, if he disagrees with you, he will either act like he doesn’t understand your question or belittle your position.

I don’t really have an issue with his policy positions but I am glad he is leaving due to his personal demeanor.

+1. Just the other day he mocked parents at the school board/city council session for wanting to keep their schools as K-8. God forbid parents express some view that is different than the great enlightened ones of our small town elected officers.

“This involves some tradeoffs,” Wilson said, adding as a joke: “As you noted, the community input is going to be against a change. We haven’t seen that before ever on the city side, so that’s surprising.”

People like that should not be near public office.

Exactly Mayor Wilson.

Justin Thyme is welcome to go back to Amtrak where he learned how to spend money uselessly and rather than do his only job: make the trains run on time.

Wilson's bike lanes have screwed up traffic even more in Alexandria and he has added to everyone anxiety as they are stuck behind long lines of traffic so that bike lanes are available for one biker per day.

At least O'Connell didn't make it. We dodged a bullet there, at least.

I was shocked (but pleased) he didn't make it.

I wasn't surprised he lost. The only white guy to win a City Council race in Alexandria in the last nine years is Kirk McPike.

Thats a little crazy huh?

Whats crazy? That a city that prides itself on diversity doesn't have a single straight white male representing it, despite straight white males being, arguably, the largest or second largest group of citizens?

Maybe the straight white males would rather do something more important with their lives than dealing with ARHA, bad schools, NIMBYs, YIMBYs and the privileged classes.

You're saying they are smarter than the rest, aren't you?
