The echo is unbearable!!!! Celianna Gunderson seem to answer the questions to me. Bagley yelling at people at CC meetings is a huge concern. She will not have my vote. It would be nice to have some new people on council. Gunderson, Boyd and Butler might freshen up the city council and breath new life into this city. I hope everyone picks wisely this time. |

Chapman and Aguirre are TIRED. Aguirre ***obnoxiously*** falling asleep during CC meetings in unacceptable and we should be letting someone like him go. Rolling his eyes at residents and other CC members is childish and pathetic. I'd love for someone to explain to me how he keeps getting votes.
Greene wanting to add MORE intensive density is a real issue for me too. She needs to go. Pretty all underwhelming group of people running this year. Pretty sure everyone has given up on this city at this point. |
| Aguirre mocked kids committing suicide. Any one voting for him can go to hell. |
Can you expand that? Share a link? |
| I was really frustrated by the results of the primary, so I don't know who I will vote for. It's such a disappointing crew. |
At least O'Connell didn't make it. We dodged a bullet there, at least. |
+1000 I agree. Heartbreaking to me. Hes totally disgusting. Just watch any one of the city council meetings for his immaturity and unprofessionalism. Shame on anyone voting for him. If any of you vote for him! |
Same. Im just wondering if anyone is going to write in amy for mayor? I was thinking about doing that. |
| Greene needs to go too! |
| I only voted for Bagley and McPike. They’ve both been very responsive to me, they came and met with my neighbors about a local issue, and they’re the two most focused on climate and transit issues. They’re also really close with Gaskins, who I voted for in the mayoral primary. |
You are ok with Bagley yelling at people? Cool, cool, cool! |
More intense density is extremely concerning. Thanks for sharing that. |
Yeah, pretty much. You can see it in the turnout numbers in the primary (something like 17%). You can see it in the fact that school board only has as many candidates as it has seats. You can see it in only having one candidate for mayor. It’s a broken system. Representative democracy requires competition. It requires participation and turnout. Alexandria doesn’t have that. |
+10000 we don't need anymore density. I remember when it used to take five minutes to go down the road now it takes 20-25. Just not worth living here anymore. |
So besides city council there is nothing reason to even fill out the local part of the ballot. So stupid. |
