Good coffee. We've been experimenting with buying beans from small batch roasters across the country and can tell the difference between those and our usual Mayorga (which is still good coffee!).

Books on tape from the library that I listen to while I do chores. I listen on my AirPods. I also listen in my car, walking the dog and walking into work/making coffee at work. Some of those booktok books are so spicy and it’s heaven to listen to them. It reminds me of pre-kid times when I had enough free time to read a book myself.

I take my coffee out on my back porch and spend at least 15 minutes doing absolutely nothing but enjoying it and reflecting, mostly on things that are good.
My DH "puts me to bed" at night much like you would a kid, brings me water, a little backrub (I used to do the same for my kids)
A break in the middle of the work day for some light stretching or a stroll around the park with some good music
using "the good china" for no reason at all for a family dinner when we can make it happen

I define it, as most dictionaries do, as "a condition of abundance or great ease and comfort" or "an indulgence in something that provides pleasure, satisfaction, or ease"

That's how I feel about sandwiches. They're always better made by someone else; even if it's something a simple as a BLT.

Not sure why that is, but I completely agree about sandwiches. No matter how high quality the ingredients, they never taste that great when made at home.

Audiobooks in the car are so enjoyable, have made me much less miserable dealing with the traffic around here. Also stuck-in-traffic time or waiting during a kid hour-ish long activity is pretty much my only downtime these days. Normally I read good lit, but I choose thrillers and other purely immersive reads that are just fun.

Molton Brown is one of the most overrated brands. Thier formulas are super drying. It's like MrBubble in fancy packaging. I think people only buy this stuff once. Then they learn the real meaning of "fool me once...."
