Little daily luxuries

This is so stupid but I enjoy these seasonal poop bags for my dog. Like Halloween themed, or St. Patrick's day or whatever. I buy a box every year and it makes my most disgusting task something more palatable.

I could stay in the lounge but I give this to myself as a luxury to decompress. Even making small talk in the teachers lounge with others is energy zapping for me.
I did not think teachers could leave campus during the day.

Correct, if you teach at a prison.

Can you please tell me where you get the Four Seasons diffuser scent? I love the Four Seasons scent when I go there!

I bought a pretty sizeable skin care fridge and it's nice to have my products including serums, eye patches, etc.. stored in a cool place. Part of my self care is time to do my skin care at the end of the day when I have time for myself.

That’s a big luxury though.

Let’s be friends.

Gonna copy you and call myself a Lady of Leisure.

Sending air kisses from my bed as I’m propped up sipping bottled Perrier and eating oatmeal.

I’ve worked hard for this.

I’m sure you have worked hard, but many many of us have worked hard and continue to work hard and don’t have the luxury to not work. I hope you don’t tell your friends that you can do this because you deserve it (because it implies that they don’t)

I think that's about it! I'm pretty frugal and cheap otherwise.

Link please???

Whoops I never saw this! I rec'd it to another dcum pp a few days ago, she said she found it for $10 on the walmart website. It's just $$$ whenever I need to buy apparently!

This is great. I bought one too, and then ended up giving it away in my buy nothing group because I didn't have room for it.

Every day it feels indulgent to put the bra and undies on in the morning, and then at quitting time, to put on my absurd silk outfit, and then sit in my midcentury entertainment pit and drink a cocktail.

This sounds fun, but I'm guessing you're a fab single gal with no kids?

this married gal does. It’s a little extra, yes, but I do it for me.

This made me laugh (with you, not at you).

Sephora sells vibrators now?

Heated floors are my dream.

I only wear wool socks and sleep under thick wool blankets.

I often eat my lunch outside, preferably on a picnic blanket so I can kick off my shoes and really enjoy a bit of midday relaxation and refreshment.

This made me smile. As a little girl, my father would (very rarely) take me with him to his office if he had to work on the weekend. Spending time with my dad in his world was a treat, even if it was a little boring after we’d been there a while. The absolute best part (even better than office chairs I could spin in, noisy adding machines that could print numbers in red on their paper spools, and giant sheets of green graph paper) were the sugar cubes from the coffee room.

My grandpa used to take me to his office sometimes (back in the early 80s) and I would spin in the chairs and play with the typewriters. Good memories.
