Secret Service Closing Playground Next to Vance's Del Ray Home

I hate the man's politics. I am donating and working to make sure he doesn't get elected.

But the reality is, in our world, politicians and their families are targets of violence. We've seen that. And I will support policies that keep children safe from violence, even if I don't like their parents, even if their parent doesn't support policies that keep my child safe from violence. I will still support policies that keep kids safe.

If the Secret Service feels that a safety perimeter is needed to protect those young children and their parents, then I won't argue with that.

Another liberal who loves diversity! oh, wait...

I do love diversity. Does that include this extremely weird and backwards person? Nope.

What's with the "weird" tagline lately? I don't understand why folks decided "weird" is an insult, especially coming from a group that celebrates diversity. I don't get it.

Since when does "diversity" mean accepting or tolerating the misogynistic politics of a public official?

I don't think you understand the difference between someone like JD, and your ordinary quiet neighbor who's a private individual.

You def get it. You just don’t like it.

Watch him talk about pretty much any issue and you’ll understand. Watch him try to order donuts or interact with other human beings. He’s weird, and not in a fun, quirky way.

It isn’t surprising you don’t get it.

It was a devastating observation that succinctly describes the behavior of MAGA over the last decade. It’s sort of the equivalent to the “have you no sense of decency” show-stopper that ended McCarthyism.

Since the “weird” label stuck, I have noticed most Trump supporters no longer fly their flags and other over-the-top behavior. It’s clearly made them self-conscious and ashamed. Which is a good thing.

It was, simply put, a devastating observation.

There's more of that great Del Ray hospitality!

Everyone is welcome here!!!*

It's hospitable to close down a public park next to your house?

"We love families and kids!!!" Well no, we don't, no public park for you.

You think Vance closed the park? LOL. It was the pink haired lesbians that closed the park.

Ah, yes. The old “liberals are hypocrites pretending to be tolerant when they aren’t!!” And then you say something like this.

"Hate has no home here."

The good ol' "It's hypocritical to hate people who peddle hatred" chestnut.

Hatred being defined as "things I don't like."

+1.

Thew only hatred being peddled is by the ladies on Next Door tryinh to establish a shunning campaign. They even suggested a boycot of Holy Cow because they fed Youngkin. These people are seething with anger.

I've got $100 for anyone that gives me the name of the women that did the yarn bombing.

I think it's OK for people to make bad people (the dad) feel unwelcome if they are not unwelcome. Church ladies used to do it because they thought you were going right to hell. Now pink haired ladies do it because Vance thinks (and treats them like) they are going right to hell.

I’ve got an idea. Let’s make a registry of all the Republicans and Trump supporters in Del Ray and tell them they don’t belong!!! We decide who gets to live here. After all, hate has no home here. And being intolerant gives you extra tolerance points. It makes sense.

I've always been fairly sure they lack the capacity to feel shame

This is a legit good idea. We need a registry of MAGA. For the purge.

Nobody has to tolerate people with absolutely disgusting beliefs that treat humans as less-than. It's called the Paradox of Tolerance, genius.
