Republican areas of the country literally give their homeless and mentally ill bus tickets to the nearest big blue city or blue state. Arizona and Nevada cops have sent homeless to California for decades. |
Interesting you keep mentioning they can go to shelters. The city in Oregon in which this case originated did not have homeless shelters in the city. |
Many of the homeless migrated from maga states to the big cities in blue states. Why, because the a blue states would attempt to take care of them. Send them back. |

SCOTUS says that this is something that can be weighed during sentencing if actually fined for illegal camping. But you can’t unilaterally handcuff the city under an 8th amendment claim. |
