If he has interviewed with the BoE saying he would create actual disciplinary measures rather than relying on RJ, and they choose to hire him, they be te going to clear the way for him to do that. Then if it doesn’t work out they will get rid of him. |
Restorative practices are written into the policy that the Board has set. I am not sure a superintendent can just avoid implementing that. Maybe I am wrong! |
This is correct. My child was the victim of larceny at school. We were told that it was a police matter and advised that it was up to us to pursue it. They school admin strongly intimated that they hoped we would follow up with the police. |
Here is the current policy - I think it is pretty broad - and it is also possible the board would further broaden it.

Schools have plenty of warm bodies that can address discipline. We just need actionable policies. |

Everyone is saying it's the Stafford County guy.
Unbelievable that they chose him given the optics of going from two black women back to a white man, but hey, at the end of the day, what matters most is if he can turn this school district around or not. |
If he is chosen, sounds like the board wants to be responsive to parents #1 issue: student safety. |
It's not just a parents' issue. Staff have overwhelmingly and repeatedly said safety and security is their top concern too. |
Black, female. Bet? |
White male |
Not! That would be racist. |
I wish. Praying! |
