I believe he was asked to resign |
Yes. He was very vocal and emphatic about the higher level he wanted while losing by 20 to my daughter’s team. Apparently his philosophy doesn’t include personal accountability for the head coach and loud explanations what they did wrong. Although I never caught any sort of anticipatory coaching, always loud and in hindsight. |
| You sound bitter |
| No, I think he sounded like an a-hole. I was embarrassed for the kids on his team. My child’s team, like many other’s, destroyed them. Nothing to be bitter about. |
Hearing that former SSSA coach just took Asst Principal position and head boys lax position at Ireton |
And that sound you're hearing is the last gasp of lacrosse dying at Bishop Ireton. Dodds will officially make them a raging dumpster fire. |
They have lacrosse at Bishop Ireton? |
| Who is the new StJ girls coach? |
The St James, "StJ", hasn't picked a new lacrosse director. St. John's College HS, "SJC", is conducting a search. |
Why do you say that? |
I thought the st James hired Stephy samras |
Barely |
Took St Stephen's from a solid IAC team to near rock bottom. Anyone hiring him to do anything more than pick up balls and lock up cages is making a horrible mistake giving him any control over a lacrosse program. |
That’s a bad take and a cheap shot against Dodds. He was a good coach that ran a solid program and led us to multiple state championships before running into the same overarching problem that Ince is inheriting - recruiting. SSSA has a school admissions office that is unfriendly to athletes and an Alexandria pipeline that’s a fraction of what it once was. Ince is at the mercy of factors he doesn’t control. Jerks like the one who made the post above will be making the same ignorant comment about Ince in a few years. Good luck to Dodds at Ireton. We were happy to have him coach our son. |
Bullis doesn’t have the horses to run with the big dogs. Yelling isn’t going to make them any better/faster. |
