He’s been the head coach since 2017 and won 3 state championships.

A teacher cannot coach if they want to be promoted to a high level administrator position so word on the street is the SSSAS boys lax coach is taking on a top administrative position. Hopefully SSSAS does the impact move and hires a well connected club coach with experience that can elevate the program, increase depth/talent and attract some high academic student athletes.

Where is this "word on the street" coming from? There aren't any administrative positions posted to their website right now, and it is awful late in the year to be expecting one to be posted for the upcoming school year....... unless the HC would be stepping down now in anticipation of taking on a top administrative position for the 2025-2026 school year? But that seems pretty presumptive.

SSSA doesn't have a good track record of hiring the best available candidates. Look what they did on basketball a few years ago losing their coach to Dematha, and football to Ireton. So my guess is they hire one of their assistant coaches who already works there. On the admin opportunities, the top jobs looked filled and they have kids at the school so are unlikely to leave any time soon.

NL recently confirmed she would be remaining the HC of their 2029 girls team. Isn't that sort of unusual for a head coach of a top club team to also be the head coach of a private school team?

You mean like how the head coach of M&D 2026 Black is the head coach at SPSG?

OK let's slow your roll just because they threw the M&D label on NL does not make them a top club they may be ranked top 20 right now but the top players in 2 years are going to leave for Cap and that ranking will do just like every team they have when they reach HS they plummet it plummets and are they are no longer relevant, those are just the facts. will the M&D name make a difference who knows.

Happens all over the country. I would characterize it as a normal practice

Or they get moved to one of the 2 main M&D teams.

Why did the Bullis girls’ coach resign?
Anonymous
Philosophical reasons. He wanted to take them to a higher level and the girls didn’t want to work that hard.
