| I more and more think this ‘merger’ wording was just misleading, and it’s more of new naming of something that already exists. Unless DPL will be a true platform to be showcased in GA events (or direct path to being promoted), like RL and be to NL, then none of this gibberish matters unfortunately. |

The 24-25 pitch book mentions:
The DPL and the Girls Academy league have formed a strategic alliance called the Development League Alliance (DLA). This was done some time ago. This is likely formalizing it and creating an actual regional league for those club's that have GA and their second teams. |

| I guess when you have weaker clubs with GA, it save the embarrassment of the second teams (especially if they're labeled GA2) getting blowing out by teams without GA or ECNL in USYS or other more open leagues. ECLNRL serves the same purpose for ECNL clubs |

Both GA and DPL already have regional leagues and a national finals. How would this be any different than what already exists? |
