Women and men’s brains are different according to this Stanford study

Anonymous
LOL to the women and men in this thread trying to take credit for “making our world”. First of all, NONE of YOU did anything.

And second, the world “we” have created is so toxic that the future survival of our species is in serious jeopardy. We are responsible for the sixth mass extinction that is ongoing at this very moment. Is this really something to brag about?
Anonymous
This is NOT real science!

There is no difference between men and women’s brains. This bogus “research” is completely sexist and must be retracted.

Before I had kids, I was convinced it was nurture, not nature.

Then I had kids. Great kids. But, it is 80% nature or higher. We control much less than what we think or want.

You think boy and girl infants act differently?

DP. Yes, of course they do. Did you know that there are two different height and weight charts for boys and girls, starting at birth? Why do you think baby boys and baby girls would have different bodies without having different brains?

You think every boy born is bigger than every girl born? Do large girls have boy or girl brains?

Yes!!! How to transgender brains factor into this! We need more info.

for me it would be interesting. I have 7 older brothers, 0 sisters. Also, when I took tests at school, standardized ones, teachers told me I scored in the 90% in everything boys scored high in and low in everything girls scored high in.

The only reason women are less intelligent is the makeup we wear is causing us to be that way. The poison they add to the products causes your brain to pause. All done to make us look crazy. We aren't . We're experiments for them to watch.

Women don’t need to be convinced to hate men. That’s as old as our species.

But a decade from now when animatronic sex/companion robots start to become mainstream among Gen Z, young men WILL need to be convinced why real, human women are worth the trouble.

Quite the opposite. Women, having the ability to have children, need to know what the point of a man is. We already work and rear children, many of us completely by ourselves. Men will just be sperm donors. Men already get paid to jerk off, so this will never go away...

Donate sperm? Why? So they can get sued by someone the never met 10 years later for child support? It’s already happening, sweetcakes.

Nope, Gen Z guys won’t be donating sperm for your unmarried spinster daughters so they can turn around years later and demand child support. Not gonna happen.

First intelligent comment on this board. Brains are known to have neuroplasticity which means they change due to their environmental conditions. How do you separate our sexist environment to understand true biological differences. We can't.

Yet you can observe these differences from a very young age. The only people who think like you PP are people who have never had kids or raised them. People like you think they are going to raise a perfectly gender neutral child and own't subject your precious to a sexist environment until real life slaps you upside your stupid head.

Actually I do have a PhD in the subject and two kids..... but whatever you think layperson...back to cancel science if it differs from your world view.

Sure. So impressed by your online PhD in gender studies.

yep, any view that differs from yours should be immediately dismissed and the person insulted. Great tactic! Go Trump!

When you can't make a case freak out and scream MAGA! Is that what they teach in 8 week nine PhD programs?

Try again. I have a PhD in neuroscience. I know this will just provoke another insult, you’ve demonstrated you are triggered. Lemme, guess, you don’t believe me - I must be a troll - quick find another insult to discredit me - blah, blah, blah. My credentials are not at play here. I don’t care what you think or believe. Just ask yourself - why are you so triggered by a different opinion on a subject that has little or no bearing on you personally. Whether or not this is nature or nurture cannot be changed. Brains are neuroplastic and change through time (google it). Any studies done on adult brains cannot separate the cultural element, because the brains have changed through time (fact). Why does that scare you?

I’m not even saying that one brain is different or the same as another. I’m simply questioning the study. I think you’ll find other neuroscientists are also questioning that study - google it.

Awesome, explain to the crowd the difference in cortical brain volumes and surface area of a cisperson vs trans.

Why do the results scare you and cause you to dismiss them outright? You're the one who needs to take a step back instead of reflexively scoff that maybe your preconceived notions may be based on faulty science.

Maybe, maybe not....it needs to be demonstrated and it just hasn't. I dismiss nothing and question everything. It's kinda my job - no "reflexive scoff", we call it due diligence.

I guess you would question a study that says water is wet as well. Too much invested otherwise.

Water itself is not wet, water has the ability to make other things wet if water can adher to those other things. Water can not make oil wet.

Nobdy wants old ars Gen Z sperm and 20 something men are too stupid to think that far ahead they spread that sh*t everywhere.

It has nothing to do with the brain, we are talking about brains here. Are you on the wrong thread?

Anything men can do, women can do just as well.

There is nothing wrong or different with women’s brains.

This so called “research” is junk science (not to mention, sexist).

Stanford should retract it.

Hah! Thank you PP. It is so obvious that the PP is not a neuroscientist. She did a quick Google search to come up with neuroplasticity.

So bodies can be different but definitely not the brain. We know this because I think it to be true.

Exactly. Same line of thinking that gave us “if my fabric mask makes me feel safer, it’s protecting me”.

This so-called study is the most offensive work of junk-science since The Bell Curve.
