What’s going on with the theocratic intrusion in our laws?

They cannot provide the treatment that they know will save lives, they cannot provide the treatment that they know will save women from lives of poverty and or abuse, they cannot provide the education and resources that women need to manage their own reproductive capacities, and if they dare make a medical decision against the potential well-being of an embryo in order to protect a woman’s life, they’ll be imprisoned.

Longer term, businesses will not stand for this because you cannot hire educated, valuable workers to live in this kind of environment. Businesses will pull out of those states, and the bifurcation of have and have-not states will continue. Oh, well. You can’t fix stupid.

The saddest part is that a lot of women will have voted FOR that. They are 100% shooting themselves in the foot.

Or maybe they want to suffer / be a martyr. You get extra heaven points for that.

Like get a clue. You can be religious, but stop trying to shove your particular brand of religion down every one’s throats.

lol, poster who bangs on about the supposed “decline of faith” (while ignoring that attendance not faith is the issue) and who slobbers over Pew is here banging on about the supposed decline of faith and Pew. Another day, another DCUM obsessive.

Right-wing evangelical Christians have been playing the long game for decades. Overturning Roe is the beginning and not the result of that. The end-game is Christian nationalism, a theocracy.

I’m not religious, but there are guiding principles that both religious and non-religious people follow that are in agreeance.
Do you condemn the 10 commandments?

Do you condemn IVF?

US is much too laxed on IVF and surrogacy.

Is English not your first language? It is lax. The correct English sentence if written by a non Russian speaking troll would be “The US is too lax on IVF.

And you’re entitled to overcompensate and cope with this very real and documented decline in any fashion you want. You can even post pithy little snark like that post. It doesn’t change the fact that young people are shunning organized religion in droves. They see the control over women’s bodies, like this Alabama ruling, and all it does is drive them to the ballot box. Anyway, thanks for your post. It was interesting.

I actually agree and feel like there are probably so many foreign malign influence posts trying to further put a chasm in the cultural divide in America. It’s fked up. I mean religion is definitely a wedge issue these days, too.

I didn't realize they were Russian bots in the AL legislature. News to me.

As insightful as that comment was, I think it was clear it was meant to describe the comments on this board and on the internet in general. There is a pretty well known foreign malign influence campaign to sway gullible folks online. It works.

I mean it’s worked wonders moving folks who already had a proclivity for authortarian reverence anyway, to somehow abandon Ukraine in support of a murderous dictator in Russia…

What I’m saying is, there are a ton of paid shills, bots and just straight up complicit (knowingly or unwittingly) conservative folks who just fall for it. It’s people who already like a place where its dictator bashes Gay people, or promotes Russian Orthodox Church and jails opponents. You all would love to to that here. You also are totally fine using religion to force your way into our bedrooms and wombs.

November is so important. I really hope women show up and vote away the potential for an authoritarian Christian nationalist dictator with 91 felony charges from taking over and further enshrining crazy religion into policy. I hope Biden wins and puts in 10 new justices and we reverse these dobbs and weirdo embryo type of laws.

Dp-Laxed is a word and can easily be looked up.

WTF, Trump isn't even Christian!

He uses them. Fills his cabinet with them. In their eyes, he’s an imperfect messenger of God’s will. At the end of the day, Trump gives zero fks about anyone else but himself, but if these folks want to support him then he’s all for it.

And you think Biden cares about you! Hahahahahaaahahhahahahahahahhahahahahaahahahahahaahhahah!

Well, this is just it, the difference between MAGA and the rest of the world. MAGA nuts are true fans of Trump, and the rest of us are distrustful of politicians but have our preferences and vote accordingly.

And while no national or probably state politician has clean hands, there is a big difference in character between Trump and any other major politician. Like, I hate Mitch McConnel, but I do believe he sincerely believes in Jesus. Unless you are brainwashed or stupid, you can't say that about Trump.

There are many people who care about our country and want to discuss the conservatives’ attempt to destroy it.

So your first language is foreign to you or you’re dim.
Get your crayons. Type these letters into your device.
First a g, then o, another o, g, l, e
Next go to any dictionary.
Now type the letters l, a, x, e, and d.
There are more examples of it if you just inquire. The internet will even give you an example in a sentence.
How about that? Wow!

Like the way you are attempting to destroy it. You want to first, huh?
