Pritzker is appealing to the wrong person.

His letter should be addressed to Biden urging him to get control of the southern border. Cities all over the country are being affected. And, Joe is twiddling his thumbs.

They have allowed themselves to dehumanize real, living, flesh and blood people to "illegals" and political pawns.

No one wants to “own the libs.” That doesn’t make any sense. The issue is that people have been suffering for years. Biden and democrats have ignored the suffering. They have been cold to the suffering in border states. Chicago isn’t the only city that experiences weather conditions that are unmerciful to immigrants. When Abbot has asked for assistance, the Biden administration wasn’t moved.

Democrats posting here have been trying to “own” Texas and Governor Abbot. No empathy. No humanity.

Now a blue state governor is saying the same thing Abbot has been saying, and suddenly the republicans are cruel. You and your ilk have been ignoring the situation and the human suffering all along, purposely. We don’t need your deflection and lecture.

Biden and democrats flood Texas to turn it blue, horrified when Abbot sends illegal immigrants to already blue areas. We see you, we know, you can stop pretending now. The jig is up.

Where is the evidence that they are "drugged up?" No evidence of any drug tests. They are kids. Kids get sleepy. It's obviously the middle of the night. Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Friday sent Texas Gov. Greg Abbott a sweeping letter about the ongoing migrant crisis, urging him to stop dropoffs during a dangerous winter storm.

“While action is pending at the federal level, I plead with you for mercy for the thousands of people who are powerless to speak for themselves,” Pritzker said in the letter. “Please, while winter is threatening vulnerable people’s lives, suspend your transports and do not send more people to our state.”

“Your callousness, sending buses and planes full of migrants in this weather, is now life-threatening to every one of the arrivals,” Pritzker wrote. “Hundreds of children’s and families’ health and survival are at risk due to your actions.”

According to the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications, Chicago has received an estimated 34,562 migrants since the dropoffs began. That includes 4,468 people who have arrived on daily flights to O’Hare and Midway international airports since June 2023.

The citizens of Chicago should take the vulnerable migrants into their homes and provide them with warm shelter and food. There are enough people who could do so to save these poor people’s lives.
