You better start identifying replacements first.

Yeah let’s keep letting these people run MCPS into the ground because their replacements might be worse. Good strategy.

Monifa McKnight is morphing into Richard Nixon at this point. Walker is out there publicly now, with his story told, and Monifa has got to feel increasing heat. She has gotten rid of a lot of people as a result of this scandal. Who is left? That would be McKnight, for now.

You can’t just stick to something because you’re used to it, or it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to that point, or whatever else falls into that category. The education and wellbeing of the students and staff of the system comes first, at all costs, whatever it takes, case closed. McKnight can’t just place people on leave, force resignations, and do everything else except look into her responsibility on this. She was a principal from 2011-2016, there are few POC in administrative positions, there is a 0% chance she didn’t know his reputation.

If she didn't know anything about the complaints, she would have said so. Not to mention that she admitted to Jackson Lewis that she knew there was something "swirling around" about him. She knew there were complaints. She probably knew she was promoting him to placate the Faruquar teachers.

Where did she say that in the Jackson Lewis report?

DP. She said that in her statement before the county council.

From the redacted report, page 6 third paragraph.

"Prior to the promotion, [REDACTED] was generally aware that there were concerns about [REDACTED] conduct "swirling around" but [REDACTED] was apparently not specifically aware of the pending investigation. [REDACTED] did not specifically remember if [REDACTED] informed [REDACTED] about the investigation prior to the promotion. [REDACTED] did not take any action to inquire about details regarding what concerns were "swirling around" [REDACTED] prior to [REDACTED] [REDACTED] to promote [REDACTED]."

MCPS made an investigator change his report after the fact once they were caught promoting someone to principal who had a history of serious harassment allegations

This is absolutely wild. If this is proven true, how do you not just completely clean house at central office? Fire anyone that is connected to this at all.

Sad to see the Post not running this, and its only local moco360. This has been amazing reporting.
Heads need to roll. Ignore the trolls, and maybe this thread won't get locked like the 5 other ones.

That should tell you something immediately about the credibility of the claim. Real newspapers don't think it's worth covering.

The Post isn't interested in local news for the most par
t, which is why the reporter went to MOCO 360 with the story. Hats off to her for continuing to pursue the story. Parents Coalition, which is followed by international media, will pick it up the story, as will local TV news. The Post may belatedly run the story.

The bold us true.

That Parents Coalition part is clearly posted by Janis, or one of her minions, because everyone local knows they are a joke

What year is it in MCPS HR? 1982?? Jeez.

I guess it depends on how fast you want to run it into the ground. Privates would love it to implode faster!

Agreed. WaPo really slashed the budget in their Metro section. How can they justify paying a freelancer when they just laid off a bunch of people due to budget woes?

They use freelancers because it's cheaper. No benefite etc. They will continue to use them.

But they didn’t. Robbins had to take her story to moco360.
