This was very good work done by Alexandra Robbins. Interestingly she did it with MoCo 360 and not the WaPo. I wonder why that's the case?
Either way, I believe every word Khalid Walker says and I knew they were scapegoating him. Good for him for fighting back. Brian Hull has got to go. |
Robbins isn't on staff at the WaPo, so I think this is normal. |
But she had been freelancing for the Post for the previous series of articles. I wonder if this has to do with the many recent staff departures at the Post; maybe an editor she had been working with is no longer on staff there. |
Why just Brian Hull and not Monifa McKnight?
|
More likely the people responding to this are the usual cranks who love to complain and see conspiracies everywhere. |
Why either of them? And who will they be replaced by??? Let the investigations finish and the folks determined to be responsible be dismissed. |
How many more investigations are there now? |
| That social studies teacher sounds like a basket case and needs to be investigated further into her motives and history of conduct. |
Is that you, Joel? |
I don't disagree that Dr. McKnight is problematic. It's hard to be believe that there are this many bad eggs within MCPS and she's a saint with clean hands, but the article directly addresses Hull so that's why I called him out. But you're right, at some point, Dr. McKnight has to shoulder the blame as the leader and head of this dysfunctional organization. |
Or maybe one of the paralegals for his defense? The trolling is pathetic either way and speaks poorly of him and his supporters. |
|
My prediction is that Dr. McKnight might fire Brian Hull and/or April Key over this. Depending on how much traction this story gets.
But I don't know. She fired Dr. Murphy and a bunch of associate directors involved in the Beidleman scandal, and she clearly made an agreement with her chief of staff Brian Stockton to have him bow out gracefully, but I don't think she can keep pointing the finger at everyone else. If the culture is this toxic, what does that say about her as its leader? The BOE needs to hold her accountable. |
Yes Nothing to do here in my cubicle. |
And what if THEY are the source of the problem? |
I think that depends on the BOE member. Shebra Evans and Brenda Wolff are definitely staunch McKnight defenders. I can't tell which way Silvestre and Smondroski lean. Lynne Harris is largely aligned with McKnight but willing to go even more left than McKnight when it comes to LGBT and environmental issues. And Grace Rivera-Oven and Julie Yang don't seem to be infatuated with McKnight at all. Grace is probably the most openly critical of McKnight out of all the BOE members. |
