Snowflake and lib are redundant. Keep trying. |
My lived experience is that lived experience is real and distinct from more general experience, and that a question about lived experience opens the door to self-reflection across a wide variety of topics. I recognize that many posters find the very concept of lived experience, as well as the value of a question about it, to be inconsistent with their knowledge and worldview. (These posters' views are informed by their lived experiences, whether they know it or not.) |
Your arm wasn't blown off. It was damaged by a mortar explosion and had to be amputated to stop bleeding and infection. How stupid to you think these people are? |
Nothing left of your argument. Nothing left but word games. |
But you like word games. Which is why some of you are so desperately trying to split hairs here. If you actually had an interesting story to tell you wouldn't need to call it a lived experience. The experience would speak for itself. |
That's true, and the prompter wants you to open up and be vulnerable. Maybe it's out of line to ask, or maybe it's an important skill to convert your life experience to something of unique value for the world, or an important skill for a future CEO to invent a fake contextually relevant background story to sell a pitch to investors and customers, and accumulate a billion dollars and donate $50M to the school. Maybe it's not strictly necessary, but it's part of an overall package to show your potential if you don't have more obvious markers of achievement. |
Asians go through all sorts of discriminations and then more discrimination by the colleges. |
|
Colleges want future Presidents, not honest people. |
Word counts matter. |
Your argument is actually with Edmund Husserl, who coined the term to articulate a specific phenomenological idea, the very one about which AOs are asking. Unfortunately Husserl died in 1938. Maybe that's why you're arguing with strangers online. |

we live in one of the most advanced country.
why should being normal and middle class be penalized. Such a fukced up system. |
What is it you think you are doing? |
I'm a DP from above, and I'm pointing out that the term has been around for 100 years, a fact that seems to keep getting lost. Call it arguing if you want, that's fine. I won't argue. |
Being normal and middle class feels pretty great to me. If you feel like you are being penalized then maybe strike the "normal" from your statement? You have an abnormal belief that your good life is also a punishment |
