Lack of history classes, lack of civic classes, lack of world event classes all taught with rigor.
Lack of pride in the US taught by the schools. |
Notice I said *properly* conducted polling. |
Please tell me how to "properly" poll on this issue? Does Israel have a right to exist? Does Palestine have a right to exist? |
Not that way. Polling for public opinion has a place and expert opinion has a place, both matter. |
This. TikTok and other platforms succeeded in creating a false narrative using buzzwords they knew would appeal to dumb Americans. Islamic extremists are using it to promote the false narrative. And China and Russia (or anyone, really) can and will use it. DH and I are bleeding heart liberals who are routinely shocked by the nonsense our kids say they heard on TikTok. At least two generations are being brainwashed…probably more. We are so screwed. |
Lack of pride is an understatement. A generation of kids have been taught to feel ashamed of their race and ashamed of western culture…ya know…the colonizing racist slave holders. Forget democracy, rule of law, equality, free speech, etc. America super sucks, kids. I can’t wait to hear what Bill Maher says about this on Friday night. He’s been warning everyone about this for years…just like he predicted Trump wouldn’t leave the White House willingly. |
Lol |
OMG. Here we have one of the finest examples of gaslighting I think I've ever seen. Members of YOUR party are expressing admiration for Osama bin Laden and Hamas - not to mention, hatred toward Jews - and all you've got is, "It's the GOP's fault!" You are a disgusting example of why this is happening. |
For those who haven’t seen it, here is a clip of Bill talking about western civilization. https://youtu.be/wnl243DjsUE? si=CIGgZ8awDcXSxmg4 Western civ - the positives - needs to be taught again. |
The VAST majority of humanity is not interested in or capable of critical thinking. Social media has merely encouraged the ignorant, the idiotic, and the evil to share their baseless opinions on… everything. Worse, it’s given them the illusion that their opinions should matter, regardless of the merits of their arguments. It’s a truly awful outcome for humanity. |
I've never been on TikTok. Instagram is already more vapid than I can handle and the name TikTok just seems ridiculous. |
These kids are functionally illiterate.
I'm not exaggerating. They never put pen to paper and even typing is becoming outdated as they use voice-to-text for everything. And everything they consume is in video form. They actually cannot read or write. |
The democratization of opinion is not a good thing. Used to be, an opinion had to survive a review process to merit publication and distribution: the underlying assumptions and facts had to be true (or at least supported), the author had to have expertise and/or credibility, etc. This gatekeeper process served to limit amplification of unfounded, ill-conceived, and downright stupid opinions. It obviously wasn’t perfect, but what we see today—where every idiot with a phone is a self-proclaimed expert on everything—certainly illustrates the previous system’s value. Fact is, most people’s opinions on most things are utterly worthless. Amplification of those opinions harms us all. |
Because men teach their children that war and fighting is glorious and heroic. |
