She’s also coming from Coppermine which means she’s a proven commodity. My question was from the perspective of a kid coming from a DMV club trying to get into a top MD club. |
A good enough player from a DMV club could land a spot on an MD club. We like to think the MD clubs are chock full of superstars, but that’s not necessarily true. The best players on X DMV team can be better than many on the MD teams, and would likely be picked up. Outside of this group, it would be more difficult to make the case. |
Beautiful day and good competition out at Fall Brawl today! |
For 28s? |
Yes. |
The number of teams seemed down this year. Based on Tourney machine it looks like only 2 good teams in the 7/8 division. Were other girls playing up with the HS teams? |
Like many tournaments, a couple of teams had a better day than the others, and one went on to win each division. Seemed pretty normal to me. |
How did you discern there were only 2 good teams in the 7/8 division from looking at Tourney Machine? There were two divisions by the way. |
One is an upper bracket and the other is a lower bracket. |
Not hard to figure out, 1 team went 5-0 and another 4-1 and then played for the championship. The lower division bracket didn't have any good teams. |
Deep analysis. |
Great Falls beat FPYC in a braveheart for the championship. Where did all this FPYC talent come from? I would have expected Vienna in the second spot. |
Boise, Idaho and Calgary Canada. |
FPYC was a Stars team with a couple of M&D Black added in, not really a rec team. Vienna was all rec, and was beaten by 5 goals by both GF and FPYC. Great Falls played very well. Mostly Pride Red players who play rec with GF in the NVYLL season. |
Vienna was "all rec"? I swear I saw some travel players on that team. |
