Diarrhea (appropriately) is #2.

I struggle with both of these too. I hate Cincinnati and the fact that I have to work so hard to spell it only deepens that loathing. Now Cleveland -- what a straightforward, delightful city! Love it.

Why would anybody need to write the word Cincinnati unless they’re talking about chili?

DP...I came to post Cincinnati too. My office used to have a branch there. It was closed in recent years. Now I get to just type NY!

embarrass- lost on this word in a 7th grade spelling bee and still have to think about it when I spell it

accommodate/accommodations- I use it fairly often in work reports. I can never remember if it is one 'm' or two.

Some of mine are on this thread. I feel seen!
My words are:

Separate
Definitely
Calendar

It drives me crazy every time I write these words I have to think about it.

I am a 43 year old lawyer and I still misspell this regularly. I want to leave out the first "e".

That’s not surprising. What WOULD be surprising is if you didn’t know how to spell “ambulance” or “overbill.”

Haha you win

These two get me too. Along with occasionally. I think it's the double letter issue for all of these.

Also:
maintenance
accrued (and I'm an accountant)

always spell it - definately

ALWAYS. You'd think I would learn, but I don't. The more I think about the worse it gets.

Same here!

Also:
Separate (I always try seperate first)
Naive

Accommodate can accommodate 2 c’s and 2 m’s.

In highschool newspaper class, one of the student editors laughed and laughed at me in front of everyone for spelling business correctly. "It's not BUSY-NESS! Hahaha, duh!"

So, I darn sure always remember how to spell business because I was right and was vindicated when I showed her the dictionary. And in my imagination, I chest bumped everyone and flexed my muscles and everyone applauded and the editor cried.
