You’d really send a clown like that to represent the United States if he ever had to meet counterparts abroad? Just an absolute decline of civilization in the United States. It’s sad and pathetic we really have to demand more from our leaders to wear trailer park trash outfits consisting of hoodies and gym shorts at work.

Keep clutching those pearls, Brunch Granny!

You are no doubt one of the many DCUM fashion critics on the thread about "Trump women and their fashion mishaps."
His hoodie and shorts are not appropriate attire for the office. Most bosses in a professional setting would have HR sit down with him to explain how to dress appropriately.

His attire is fine. My boss (a private equity executive) once showed up to a closing in jeans and t-shirt. He was writing a $100 million check. It does. Not. Matter. It only matters for people without actual power who are beholden to others.

US is a declining S hole. Next they’ll wear sandals and smoke weed in the office.

The GOP elected a traitor and continues to support him. Though I actually think Fetterman and Sinema should dress appropriately to the office, I’m more concerned about the GOP’s fascism.

Anything to avoid discussing the topic at hand..... the fact that Senators no longer have a dress code, but their staffers and every one else does.

How does Schumer defend this?

Who F cares? Are they aiding and abetting an insurrection? Let them dress how they want to. Fetterman has shown more respect for the constitution and the institution of the Senate than any of the Senators who didn't vote to convict Trump for 1/6. But please carry on with the faux pearl clutching. Maybe we can make Obama's mustard colored suit a thing again.

Why just Senators?
Why not staff as well?

Answer: Because this is solely for Fetterman. A rule change for one Senator because he refuses to follow the dress code.

NO ONE CARES.

Actually, they do.
I just hope some brave reporter asks Schumer why he exempted Senators from the dress code and not everybody else. I can't wait to hear his reasoning.

It wouldn’t be asked, PP, because…….

NO ONE CARES.

One step closer to the complete redneckification of America. Everything dumbed down, trashy, and unprofessional.

Perhaps they're just trying to relate to Republicans. Don't ya'll vote for someone that you'd like to have a beer with? It's not about policy or anything substantive.

Change it for staffers too.

Schumer didn't. Why not? Why ONLY Senators?

Because people at the top always take the privileges they deny the rank and file. Same old story at every work place.

Let’s see someone try that to visit Frances at the Vatican.

I think it sends a message to our youth that the measure of your ability is not limited by your appearance.

You might not be able to afford a suit but your voice will still be heard. You can still represent and serve your people.

It's a good thing.

We could start a gofundme acct for Fetterman at Brooks Brothers.

Ty’s not like anyone outraged by this HAS to wear more casual clothing than what they typically do.

If there was indeed a Frances at the Vatican then it would be living proof that hell had indeed frozen over.

The Venn diagram of people who are clutching pearls about this and people who think that what Boebert did is a-ok is a circle.

2/3 of the people complaining about this are posting while working from home barefoot in shorts and t-shirts.
