Although it’s hard to believe, um no isn’t helpful. Could you give a more helpful answer? How did you come to your opinion on this matter? Um's and uh's indicate that we're not as confident about what we're about to say. When asked a question, people use more filler before responding when they're less sure they have the right answer (and are in fact more likely to get the answer wrong). |

How do you expect people here to know the answers to your questions? Why don’t you google the questions, we aren’t experts on the subject of demons and demon possession. If you have often wondered something, you have the tool right in front of you to get your answers . How have you made your mind up about this subject when you have so many unanswered questions? |

You exhibit great ignorance of non-Western religions and cultures. Many religions (including most of the major ones and some you've never heard of) believe in spirit possession. | The answer is yes but it's extremely rare and there are things you can do to avoid it. I suggest a book that helped me understand this subject: Demons, Deliverance, Discernment: Separating Fact from Fiction about the Spirit World, by Father Mike Driscoll. A crucial question is differentiating between mental illness and possession and this book provides advice on that. The book tamps down the hype on exorcisms (but they're real). It will help you identify how demons try to affect you in your daily life and tell you what to do if you think you are under the influence of demons. |
