Most offensive Broadway Musicals?

Why can’t the actors just speak calmly and clearly to express their feelings, preferably from a seated or otherwise fixed position? It would also take a lot less time, the show could be cut down to 20 min, no need for an intermission.

Also the costumes are distracting, couldn’t they just ask the actors to wear their street clothes?

Please tell me you've seen Something Rotten and if you haven't you absolutely must!

NP. Love "Something Rotten" and yes, that PP should definitely see it. As should anyone who enjoys (or hates) musicals or enjoys (or hates) Shakespeare!

This is what first came to my mind too.

Thoroughly modern Millie. It makes me sad because it has some great songs and the movie version has the unbelievable trio of julie Andrews, Mary Tyler more and carol channing. But it’s just …. So cringeworthy. I wish someone could take the original movie version and use CGI to redo it.
