This! Streets named after people's names are awful!!! It's especially bad if it's a working class name like Mary Jo, but I still don't want to live on Laura Lane or John Mulvaney Drive either. Just weird and low-class feeling. |
What's life like in Tucson? You live very close to my aunt in the Catalina foothills. |
| There is a house that I see popping up on Rainbow Bridge Rd. |
My aunt and uncle live on Tinkerbell Lane and I remember her cringing and talking about it when they bought the house when I was a kid in the 80s! They raised their family there and are still there so I guess they got over it. |
| I'd be careful buying on a street with a confederate or other unacceptable name. Many areas are going through the process of renaming those streets, and it's going to be a long lasting pain in the butt for the homeowners there. Save yourself the trouble. Also, if you don't recognize the name of the street, just google it. There are lots of streets that were named after obscure confederate soldiers, and those will be renamed too. |

Oh God anything but low class |
Honestly, is there anything more important that living your life to avoid any possible confusion that you belong to the lesser people? I had a family member who took an RV vacation 10 years ago. I have spoken to them since and I have destroyed every picture of us. Fortunately, we don't share a last name. Could you imagine the shame of being associated with a person that lived in such a state? It's practically a trailer. Honestly, I can't believe they weren't kicked out of thier gated community. All that happened was he was asked to step down from the membership community at the club for one year. Can you believe that? They let them stay members. Outrageous. There are families with young girls there. And you know what kind of behavoir this leads to. We have standards for a reason. I just worry about the children. |
| I refused to look at a house on a street named Devil's reach. |
| There’s an Easie Street off of Vale Road in Oakton. |
