I live in Silver Spring, in a lower-income neighborhood. There were TONS of kids outside playing tonight. You know what's going to happen tomorrow when MCPS closes schools? Instead of being inside a school building, these kids will all be outside playing. Such a joke.

NY is a lot closer to Quebec than Maryland.

The air really wasn't that bad here today in the DMV. Unless it gets worse tomorrow, the kids should be in school.

Agreed. If there are parents who are worried about the smog exposure, they can have their kids wear masks. And tell their kids not to run to the bus stop. Should be fine.
