It’s emblematic of the country in general. The problem starts with clinical staff slash nurses who are largely unhelpful to doctors due to an inferiority complex. There needs to be a reset. Nurses provide zero medical direction and need to KNOW that. They should be great at patient care like cleaning wounds, wiping asses, and following specific directions by physicians. Make it easy for the actual doctors do their jobs. |
If that were true, then maybe they shouldn't require nurses to get bachelor's degrees and masters degrees just to do grunt work. |
| Its amazing to me that majority of people dont understand. The more people covered, the worst the quality of care is. Something has to give in the equation to balance out and compensate for more people in the system and its quality of care. |

What Happened to Doctors is... Obamacare. Great narrative, but a horrible mess in the real world we live in. |
Agreed. And there are associates degrees and other programs. Anyone idiotic enough to get a masters and pay for it should be unemployed, but that’s another story. |
Why did US healthcare start going downhill in the 80s? BTW I'm a foreign trained MD and I agree that the quality of healthcare in this country is pretty low, I've received better care (without the stress of battling against insurance companies) in several developing countries. |
When trying to fix things it's important to at the very least to Do No Harm. Obamacare made things worse. Trillions of dollars wasted on nonsense, decades of delay till another reform attempt given the disaster it was. Beware Senators who talk much and do little. |
I already pay thosuands of dollars per year for insurance, a$$hole. How much more do I need to pay inorder to get appropriate care then? I guess healthcare is now only reserved for the wealthy 1% elite who can fork over tons of more money for a concierge treatment? What a fantastic way to destabilize a country. Don't surprised in a few years when the masses get so pissed off they start putting the heads of the rich on pikes lining the highway. |
We're paying more than 18% of our GDP for this garbage! |
The problem is private equity getting involved in healthcare. It's untenable and shouldn't be allowed. |
Shhh. |
Our system before Obamacare was also terrible. It was fine for people employed and with health insurance, but terrible for anyone else. They could have moved towards a true single payer system, but Republicans backed by lobbyists wouldn’t allow it. |
Or train and employ more healthcare workers. |
Pay more, obviously what you pay is not enough..average person pays equally or more for their car on a monthly basis. What’s more important, your health or a fast depreciating asset?? Lol people are looney, priorities buddy |
It’s like the person that complains over a few hundred copay when they waste that much on their shiny new iPhone and phone service monthly. |
