Hmmmm... So, no jail time probably. Free by 18 years old. Is it how juvenile justice system works in MoCo?

Yes. And the State as a whole. I'm surprised the police could charge him at all -- the new state law prohibits police from questioning minors unless they have already spoken to an attorney. The practical result of that is police can't question minors.

Flood the country with criminals, impose no consequences, don’t enforce laws, disarm decent people, and shootings become more common . . . who woulda thunk it?

I don’t think anyone is “flooding” the country with criminals, it seems these criminals are born and raised here in dire circumstances that we allow.

Good. Nobody should ever talk to the police without an attorney especially minors.

Yes, there are too many guns, but the bigger problem is the fact that juveniles in the area believe (correctly) that they will face no real consequences for breaking the law. Restorative justice!

Wow, the department of education is handling shootings at metro stops now. Who knew. You are an idiot!

It starts in the schools. Actually try talking to MCPS teachers sometime and ask how discipline is going this year. No consequences.

So, you are completely insane. Got it.

Insane for linking schools and lack of consequences to teen crime and lack of consequences? The PP is not insane, but you are stupid or asinine, or both.

Notice how quickly you pivot to name-calling.

You’re the one lying about “no consequences” at schools. Why do you expect a civil debate when you misrepresent the issue from the start?

No, you're right. The kids are obviously fine and very much fear the consequences of acting out: LARGE GROUP OF TEENS REPORTED TO BE JUMPING ON TOP OF CARS: IHOP, 1200 Rockville Pike in Rockville-- approximately 25 juveniles jumping on cars, breaking the windows out, and using “water cannons” to damage the autos. (similar to an incident two years ago at Six Flags in Bowie)

When I was growing up 30 years ago I remember one time in Rockville that police had to use riot gear/control tactics to disperse all of us unruly teenagers who were camping out to score HFStival tickets. Some idiot broke a store window and the cops came out with bullhorns and everything. We were not arrested. We all turned out fine.
and when 355 is full of atv drivers?

The Capitol Hill headlightless, mufflerless, aTV gang is up rockville too every night?! Groovy. Sick of them causing accidents by eastern market

Why is the police not intervening? Serious question.

Yes these poor babies. It’s not their fault. Never is.

That's the thing, I live in Wheaton near the "flood" of immigrants, and none of them committed this crime. And neither the criminals and the victim lived in the Wheaton vicinity.

Wouldn’t it be nice for these poor American families living in filthy tenements to be put up in the cushy hotels instead of immigrants?

Most kids don’t become criminals without their family and community failing them first.

If only someone had told them don't shoot people.

It's not good. It creates a class of people above law, with very little risk of consequence of some very horrific acts.

A 16 year old girl just got shot in the face in White Oak.

Should Police be prohibited from questioning any suspects if they are under 18? Unbelievable.
