Maybe they should have one of their bbq's at Bradlee. Say like 3 pm on a school day?

If you do the math city of Alexandria has a higher murder rate than NYC.

NYC homicide rate is approximately 4.8 per 100k, Alexandria’s is less than 3 per 100k.

There were 6 homicides in Alexandria last year. There are approximately $153K residents. Get a better calculator.

Time for you to move. Plenty people want your house

If it's single family, make sure you wait until single family zoning is killed. Sell to a developer who will build a couple of townhouses or a small apartment building. Your neighbors want it.

Also, there were two ODs at Alexandria High School yesterday according to police. I can't believe people feel good about sending their kids there everyday and say everything is fine.

You mean TC Williams? Alexandria only has one high school, TC Williams like from the movie remember the Titans.

They renamed the high school.

The public housing there has always had issues. Every few days or weeks at most, there are "shots fired" reported.

I lived three blocks away from that corner for 14 years and never once heard or saw any shots fired. It wasn't that common.

I've lived in Alexandria for more than 44 years. It was, and continues to be, common for gun fire at the Andrew Atkins housing project. But it does seem like these incidents are becoming even more prolific these days.

The HS students all hang out at Bradlee shopping center and start fights with each other. Police are there by the Mcdonalds but I have seen the kids smoking pot behind the shopping center many times in the back door entryway of the stores and in front of Safeway or in the parking garage of Safeway while the police are stationed on the side the Mcdonalds they don't see this.

Smoking marijuana in public - or in cars - is no longer a crime that is being enforced in Alexandria. Now that it's getting to be 'windows-down' season, the smell of kind buds is a common scent in and around the City.

Except these are children under 18 not adults.

I'm sure a lot of the students you're seeing smoking pot at Bradlee are 18 and older. Obviously many of them are also younger than 18, but we have our fair share of adult high schoolers ACHS.

Nice try though. You have to be 21 or older in VA for legal possession.

You have to be over 21 in Va.
