| Arrows and Bows: They made their claim to fame tiny living and extolled all the virtues. Now they live in a massive FL house and own an Inn. I mean, good for them but wow, they really jumped the shark. They are also a "trad marriage" in a pretty disguise plus they use their kids as clickbait. |

I followed Shay like 10+ years ago, became aware of her blog when her brother was the Bachelor. She's certainly monetized successfully, and taken a lot of her friends along for the ride - her friend Shaeffer (sp?) has managed to quit her professional career to be a full-time blogger, her friend Erika podcasts with her, Shay herself has published probably 5 cookbooks at this point. I don't think she's the devil, but her recipes are nothing special, nor is her fashion, or most of the rest of her content - but she's managed to sell it all because she's conservative Christian #goals. Also agree that she's pigeonholed her kids, and if they rebel much in their teenage years or just don't want to be in the boxes she's created for them, it's going to be problematic. |

See, I actually like C&C. Emily's not a good writer, but she has I think improved the blog over the last year or two, from when she had so many guest writers who were trying to make it something it wasn't, commenting on politics, etc. Those writers and posts always felt forced to me on there, and now I think it's actually back to feeling more authentic. Emily was genuine when she named it "Cupcakes and Cashmere" when she started - looking at the blog over the past 18 months or so, it's really gone back to posts about food & style, because that's where her interests actually lie/have always lain, and I think, where her strengths are. I've made many of the recipes she's recommended over the years, and they've all been excellent. She knows her food. |

| Mehanjoytoday on IG. She has 6 kids, and had her husband get a vasectomy reversal a few years ago because she insists her family isn't complete without one more. She sells Young Living and pushes it heavily. They have two dogs and a cat. She dresses her kids in neutral colors (browns, mauves, brownish/yellow, white, pale colors). Never seen them in any character clothing or primary colors. She homeschools and then decided to send the oldest three to school. She acted like she was going to shrivel and melt into the ground because she missed them so much. She has bragged that she only showers once a week and, most recently, has started talking about how she free bleeds. Apparently, she is so in touch with her body that she can control her flow to the extent that the blood only releases when she is on the toilet. They move every few years. Her house always looks tidy and clean, and despite 6 kids and thrifting all the time, her house is never junky; you never see kids' toys or mess anywhere. I'm part fascinated and part hater. lol |
