I followed Shay like 10+ years ago, became aware of her blog when her brother was the Bachelor. She's certainly monetized successfully, and taken a lot of her friends along for the ride - her friend Shaeffer (sp?) has managed to quit her professional career to be a full-time blogger, her friend Erika podcasts with her, Shay herself has published probably 5 cookbooks at this point. I don't think she's the devil, but her recipes are nothing special, nor is her fashion, or most of the rest of her content  - but she's managed to sell it all because she's conservative Christian #goals. Also agree that she's pigeonholed her kids, and if they rebel much in their teenage years or just don't want to be in the boxes she's created for them, it's going to be problematic. [/quote]
