We took a trip up there several years back to go wine tasting in the area. I had heard such glowing reviews of Ithaca itself, so I was shocked at how blah I felt the town itself was. The Cornell campus was nice (I think we walked the main quad area), and the Gorge walk was lovely. The wines were yummy

| Don't many colleges have gorgeous buildings in the center but then you spend most of your time in grotty 1970s dorms. Pay attention to the firms and libraries. |
| Do all the folks naming UCSB actually prefer that campus to UCSC or have they not visited UCSC? At least to my eye, UCSB is nice but UCSC is breathtaking. |
yummy? |

My DD got into Scripps last night and she is so excited! Definitely a gorgeous campus. |

East Coast: Yale, easily
West Coast: Pepperdine or Pomona Midwest: Northwestern South: Furman College |
Wait, sorry, not Furman. I meant Berry College |
Vanderbilt was so overwhelmingly underwhelming, I was actually confused. The whole time we were asking each other, “is there another part of campus that we’re missing?” But, no. I have no idea why it gets hyped up so much. |
Easily? Yale has many beautiful buildings but for overall aesthetics I personally think Princeton is more attractive. |
