Horrible advice! |
+1 Administrators must start supporting teachers. |
LOL at the idea that behavior problems are weeded out. I had as many behavior issues when I was at a private as any public, and the parents were even less likely to help the situation than in public. There’s a baseline assumption that the teacher is the problem (sounds like public!) and the administration’s actions are often driven by how much the family donates and/or how much community influence they have. All this plus the added bonus of working longer hours for less pay- who wouldn’t jump immediately? |
PP here. I AM a teacher. |
I would never hire a teacher who left mid year. It’s like marrying someone who cheated on their previous spouse with you. |
Its probably more like dating someone who was in an abusive relationship. |
Ok. Plenty of other desperate people who will |

If they’ll do it with you, they‘ll do it to you. |
Hire me? Ok |
I don’t believe you’re a teacher or you’d know better than this, unless you’re writing in a time machine from January 2020. |
Warm body without a felony record, correct. This is what parents screamed all over DCUM for during distance learning. They shrieked and stomped that they’d rather have a Target cashier in person “teach” their kids than an experienced teacher in DL.Cool. Be careful what you wish for next time. |
I’m really sorry that the fact that teachers aren’t indentured servants bothers you, but then, that’s a You Problem. DP |
Yeah. That’s laughable. “Stay and get on meds?” Please. |
