Graduating High School used to be a right-of-passage marking adulthood. The teachers did their job in guiding them to adulthood. To then break bread with them is an act of acceptance. This is all very normal. But we don't live in a normal country.

Having a celebratory drink with High School graduates is not controversial in most of the world, and would not have been an issue in this country not that long ago.
