Lost 5 lbs tracking calories and macros. It’s tedious but I’ve learned a lot about my nutrition and plan to stick with it until I lose my remaining 6lbs. My diet is very healthy except I had to stop eating cheese. Too much fat. I LOVE feta, it’s hard. |
To the PP who lost 13lbs on WW since January- CONGRATS! That's amazing. What has changed most about your diet? |
How long have you been cutting calories? Maybe you need to add calories to jolt the weight loss? |
Thanks! Honestly....just eating a lot LESS. Making sure I have cut up vegetables to snack on. Really staying away from processed foods. I've got a new rule - if I want something sweet or a "treat," I must make it myself. So last night I made zucchini brownies and had one. I have had a few extravagant meals since I started for special occasions, but I plan for them, really eat lightly the rest of the day, and most importantly, get right back on the bus the next morning. I also try to delay my first meal of the day especially during the weekdays. I find I'm no less hungry if I eat at 7 am versus 11 am. This is a pretty typical day for me eating wise - 7 am - coffee with a little 1% milk and Splenda 11 am - light English muffin, two eggs, avocado mash mid-afternoon - either nonfat greek yogurt with fruit and some keto-friendly granola (like 2-3 tablespoons) or cut up vegetables, something like that. Or sometimes I'll do the yogurt-fruit-granola thing earlier in the day and have some dinner leftovers for lunch. 6/7 pm dinner - broiled salmon, steamed or roasted vegetables with a little bit of olive oil. Sometimes it's lean pork, chicken, or another protein, but basically always a protein and vegetable. Maybe some black beans too. I'm proud of myself. But it also is not a lot of fun being pretty hungry most of the time and not being able to just grab some cookies or steal my kids' Halloween candy. ![]() |
