That's what Anne Arundel does for the most part too.
The new high school that just opened in Crofton had a big community-input process for a new name and ended up being called... Crofton High School.
They recently renamed George Fox Middle School - one of the few schools that was named after a person - to Northeast Middle School.

How many millions of dollars will be wasted for name changes? Is that a higher priority than teacher pay and classroom size?
