As a man, I think the cut looks hot. What a shame that it had to be politicized! |
I am not a man and "Karen" cut looks awful (and ages Kate Gosselin for no reason) in my taste. I love this French actress short hair styles (but a woman should have really pretty face to wear it). I wonder what men think of it? https://nz.news.yahoo.com/juliette-binoche-on-french-style-and-life-advice-24838756.html |
Oh sweetheart. It's not politicized. Sometimes a bad haircut is just a bad haircut. |
This is so true. Western European women wear short hair much more often and they seem to do fine attracting men lol. The right hairstyle for any person, male or female, is one that they like and one that looks good on them. That’s it. |
Agree, a lot of this is just misogyny. Remember Michelle Williams’ haircut in those sexy Louis Vuitton ads? I bet some of these posters would call that a Karen cut - and I suspect that upward of 99% of them are far less attractive than she is with that cut. |
I'm not confused, people just use the term "passive aggressive" in slightly different ways. I started using it to refer to things that don't seem directly "aggressive" after going to therapy. Another example of what I think is "passive aggressive": say I wished my husband made more money, but I didn't want to say "I wish you made more money" because that sounded mean. So instead I pointed out our neighbor's boat and said "wow, isn't that such an awesome boat? How great for them that they have that boat." This way I can express a desire for change without having to take any sort of accountability for it. My husband would have to read through the lines to get a sense of what I was really saying, and if he got offended and said "it sounds like you don't think I make enough money," I could say "oh no I just think it's great of them." A hint would be more like "hey did you notice this job opening?" Or "have you considered doing [x] with your hair?" (So PP is right that looking through a magazine and commenting wouldn't necessarily be passive aggressive, I just imagined OP saying "doesn't she look nice with that haircut, honey?" So I stand corrected, maybe it would be fine). I actually don't always prefer direct communication and I think that often it's a bad way to go. |
I used speech to text. Your hair is still cr*y, sadly. |
| Short hair is NOT karen-hair. Karen-hair is choppy, over layered, between short and shoulder length, with atrocious color - mousy brown, brassy, or chunky highlights. |
How passive aggressive. I would continue to cut my h0a0ir if I wanted short hair |
| It's quite possible she DOES want to speak to the manager. |
According to this, any short haircut with highlights on a white woman is a Karen haircut. |
Yeah I still have all my hair and workout a lot... She's still getting exactly what she ordered. Also, I don't throw tantrums, I pout in my basement gym. |
Karen
NOT Karen
|
Nope. See pics above. The "Karen" tends to have super choppy layers, and is also usually striped or with really brash "natural" color. Not all short hair is a "call the manager" cut. |
| This reminds me of the SNL baby shower sketch where the women all talk about “the cut.” Soft waterfall in the front, Game of Thrones in the back. |
