I show prices in your area from $4.09 at Costco and $4.25 at a lot of places nearby on Gas Buddy.

Are you the DC Costco person? Because the DC Costco is showing $4.16, not $4.09. What a fun game!

I filled up at the DC Costco on Sunday for 4.09. Don't care whatever you say "it's showing" according to you. The only things that matter are what the pump and my receipt said to my own two eyes.

People vote with their pocketbooks. If you cannot afford food and gas, all other issues are lower priority. POLI SCI 101

That’s how people like you voted for Hitler.

Keep telling yourself that.

That’s actually the truth. DP.

+1 Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.

DP. People who keep trying to compare Trump to Hitler very obviously don’t know history. You look like utter fools every time you do this.

While its true that a thread has jumped the shark once Hitler is mentioned by name in a post, this post requires re-framing as a civic duty.

Like Hitler, Trump is a demagogue.

But more specifically, Hitler took power by dismantling the existing civil and governmental institutions in Germany :

After the November 1932 German federal election, the Nazi Party had a plurality, not a majority; the communists posted gains.[7] Adolf Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor and head of the coalition government on 30 January 1933.[8] As chancellor, Hitler asked President Paul von Hindenburg to dissolve the Reichstag and call for a new parliamentary election. The date set for the elections was 5 March 1933.[9]

Hitler hoped to abolish democracy in a quasi-legal fashion, by passing the Enabling Act. The Enabling Act was a special law that gave the Chancellor the power to pass laws by decree, without the involvement of the Reichstag. These special powers would remain in effect for four years, after which time they were eligible to be renewed. Under the Weimar Constitution, the President could rule by decree in times of emergency using Article 48.[10]

During the election campaign, the Nazis alleged that Germany was on the verge of a communist revolution and that the only way to stop the communists was to put the Nazis securely in power. The message of the campaign was simple: increase the number of Nazi seats.[11]

Similarly, Trump pushed the lie of " the Deep State" , supported QAnon, and pushed day in and day out that " the election was stolen" and sought to use the Justice Department and the Electoral college system to throw out the election result and declare himself re-elected

He also called a mob of hate groups to Washington and knowing that they were armed, said to them,

" now we are going to march to the Capital ... and fight like Hell... or YOU are not going to have a Country anymore "

He THEN watched the attack on American Democracy- relishing it

Getting rid of Hitler in 1939 would have saved over 100 million lives- think about that

Trump should already be in federal prison
