I show prices in your area from $4.09 at Costco and $4.25 at a lot of places nearby on Gas Buddy.

Are you the DC Costco person? Because the DC Costco is showing $4.16, not $4.09. What a fun game!

No, I used Gas Buddy with the 20164 zip code. That's the listed price on the app. What a fun game!

Maybe stop acting like you are entitled to $2/gallon gas. That's number one.

Number 2: Gas was pretty high in 2007 (under Bush). A friend just posted a FB memory from that time when it was over $4/gal in the NE. It's not just now. Sh-- fluctuates.

Number 3: they are falling. Maybe not as fast as you'd like but this is a worldwide issue in response to the last few difficult years.

Number 4: I'm in 22030 and am able to get it for about $4.00. Further west, in Winchester / Front Royal, it was sub-$4 this week.

Yes, and Bush was blamed for those high gas prices. But guess what? They also went down to $1.07 during his administration. Maybe get your facts straight before spouting off.
DP

Were they $1.07 when he crashed the entire economy?

People vote with their pocketbooks. If you cannot afford food and gas, all other issues are lower priority. POLI SCI 101

That’s how people like you voted for Hitler.

Was it $2.09 when the entire world economy was tanking and producers were paying people to buy barrels of oil? Because that wasn’t great either.

Wrong. Some people make choices due to their convictions and morality. Many people can cut back on other expenses to live their truth. Maybe not you, or others who want everything for cheap and more and more and more. Sorry, there is always a way.

Youre right. Most people arent living their truth. They are living THE truth, as in, objective reality.

$3.91 at Wawa on Hillcrest Pkwy exit off 168 before Chesapeake Expressway Toll

You and I take the same route to the Outer Banks. I usually stop at that Wawa. All the way down 460E on Thursday it was $3.99. It's probably cheaper now. I come from Central VA.

I paid 3.89 at the Costco in the Mt Vernon area of Alexandria (where I work) yesterday, which was 5 cents cheaper than GasBuddy was showing for the Costco in Chantilly closer to my House.

For some reason, GasBuddy today is saying 3.99 in Chantilly, so it went UP overnight ;P Boo

Yeah, not sure where the 20164 PP is buying their gas, IAD gas station, maybe, with inflated airport prices? I am in Ashburn (20147) and frequently drive into the Sterling (20164, 20166) zip codes for work, and the highest I've seen in the past week or so is $4.39. Neighborhood station was at $4.29 this morning (they are always on the high end), and the station near my office (20164) was at $4.07.

20906: $4.29 yesterday and it wasn’t the cheapest.

Anonymous wrote:the price of gas has extremely little to do with POTUS or the power in control of Congress. If you want to lower the price of gas, the only way to do it is on the demand side - use less gasoline across the nation. We cannot supply our way to lower prices other than the short term.

Then why is the POTUS bragging about lowering the price?

You all are forgetting the work that was done , ordered and set in motion by Biden to set the price paid by buyers for russian oil, which was also discussed as part of other negotiations in his ME visit

Is there a 538 type person out there who can make us a price map of both US and European Gas prices ( converting from Liters of course )

As it doubled people kept saying "POTUS has nothing to do with gas prices". Now he does? Which is it?

I suggest you study futures trading to gain some understanding

If people can afford those oversized SUVs then they can afford gas. Time to quit whining.
