Like a registry of gun owners?! So glad you’re in favor of that now!

Any indication that the survey won't be anonymous? If not, shut it!

Great! So you’re open to an anonymous registry of gun owners run by the government. Great to know! Thanks!

Yes, I do. It's called a background check, dumb ass. I have had one run on me each of the six times I bought a gun. SIX!!! Are you upset? Show us you are upset.

Why do you need a gun? Or worse, 6 guns?

I’m guessing He’s a scared, overweight white guy.

Violent people do scare me. I picked up a couple of new guns during the riots of 2020. My other guns were for sh*ts and giggles - things to shoot for fun at the range. The two I bought during 2020 were more for personal defense and protection. I also got my concealed carry permit. I'm glad to be in a "shall issue" state. My worst fears about 2020 have not come to pass, so I'm glad for that. If nothing else, the guys I bought were good investments as they have now appreciated in price.

Oh, I'm not white. I don't think I'm overweight - I'm about 170 and 5'11". In any case, what's with the racist fat-shaming?

Well-played, PP! Good for you for exercising your 2A rights!

Yep. So do school systems. FCPS sends out all kinds of surveys, mainly about whether students and families feel "represented" or "heard" or whatever. This is absolutely no different.

Ha ha ha. What a false statement. FCPS doesn't harm anyone based on the responses. We can not say that about nut job Desantis.

FCPS harms students all the time. My DD’s potential to get a driver’s license was threatened by the head of the school board years ago because I dared ask for testing records for driver’s ed for the private driving school she was enrolled in (she had been transferred to a private school that did not offer driver’s ed). Took it to Richmond and the information was ready for me to pick up the day after I called.

First, from what I’ve read so far, having the surveys be anonymous is not currently a goal.
Second, I’ve done “anonymous “ surveys where I was the only one, or maybe one of two, with my particular demographic profile, so….while I didn’t have to list my name, the reality is that they were far from being anonymous in practice. For many people in some environments, it doesn’t take that many data points to narrow down identity. For example, I had a job where surveys were given to programs. Listing my degree alone, narrowed it down to one of 2 possibly people. Degree and race was all that was needed to identify my responses with 100% certainty. Degree, gender, race, age, place of birth — 5 data points would easily identify me as a faculty member most places, and 2or 3 data points, or even one might be enough in others.

Use your brain. We are not talking about your job, where there may be very few people with your specific degree and race at your work. We are talking bout colleges. If you are concerned about identity, don't indicate your race, sex, age, etc. Leave those blank.

Look the last few years have shown that there are plenty of people that like the way you think. You’re welcome to hang out with them wherever you want. I know a lot of your type and you get a good kick out of people trying to argue against you. It’s cute. Have a great night.

So why are you hanging out with so many of these types of people that you don't seem to like?

And on Tuesday, according to NBC, the Leon County School Board approved a “LGBTQ Inclusive Guide,” which includes a clause that says parents must be informed if a student who is “open about their gender identity” is in their child’s gym class or with them on an overnight school trip. “Upon notification or determination of a student who is open about their gender identity, parents of the affected students will be notified of reasonable accommodation options available,” the guidelines state. “Parents or students who have concerns about rooming assignments for their student’s upcoming overnight event based on religious or privacy concerns may request an accommodation.”

They are essentially creating a “sex offender like” registry for openly gay students. If this is not vile and hateful, I don’t know what is.

But there’s more. LGBTQ teachers in Orange County, Fl cannot display photos in classrooms of their same sex spouses. They cannot talk about their same-sex partners. All rainbow articles of clothing are banned. Yeh sure go ahead and elect this fool. Can’t wait until someone exposes him for having had a gay experience in his lifetime. Just like Ivanka’s abortion in HS. It seems those that protest too much are still in the closet. They suffer from sinful desires. They fear gayness is contagious. Stupid little man.

We need a citation for all your claims. I am calling BS.
I am betting you are getting your information from some activist group posting false information.

All these fools will do is make it harder to find teachers, and have to pay them more.

If you are a public institution, you should not have the luxury of pushing an agenda, left or right.

Exactly this.

The more I see and hear of DeSantis, the more I like him. He tells it like it is, has common sense, and isn’t afraid of silly liberal attacks. Hope he runs in 2024.

Thank you for posting this. Astounding how some idiotic tweet - with no basis in reality - goes viral, is then debunked, and these loons STILL insist it’s true. JFC.

+1
Or don’t participate in the survey at all! It is voluntary.

+1. What are people so afraid of? That the survey will reveal that people don’t feel comfortable expressing anything but far left, “progressive” views?

Actually reading this, those are all true! It's total doublespeak.

They are told not to talk about their same sex spouse, or to wear rainbow items.

I know my Florida teacher friends have emptied out their libraries.

No one should be talking about their spouse to begin with. “I went with my family” is a proper response. JFC, just teach without agendas!
