The President and his Chief of State were co-conspirators in the attack on the Capitol. Is that enough for you?

Honestly, what else is there? What would people consider a bombshell?

Trump trying to grab the steering wheel and attacking his security chief to go to the Capitol? Is that bombshelly enough?

Did she witness it or is it hearsay? Sorry to sound like I'm defending him, but this isn't a bombshell. Why was this an emergency meeting?

It’s not hearsay.

Did she see it? I did not hear the testimony. I can't imagine Meadow's assistant was riding with the ex-president. If she did not personally witness it, it is hearsay. I do hope she saw it!

Did she see it happen?

She testified to a conversation she was party to. That’s not hearsay.

She was relaying what she was told. In a court of law, we would also like to hear from those people directly.

For this hearing, she's under oath. You can make your own decisions about her testimony m

The security detail told her what happened. She is relaying what the guy told her. Now, he could have lied to her about it. Maybe he has testified as well.

She did not see it, but she's testifying under oath. The person who was assaulted was in the room when she was told, and that person said nothing... which is usually taken to mean they do not dispute the statement.

Throwing dishes and pulling table cloths off tables and grabbing secret service officer by throat?! Good lord, a toddler in a 70+ year old body.

Isn't this assault? Are the SS supposed to put up with physical abuse from a president? In what context would that be acceptable?

Sorry for going off on a tangent--the bigger points of the testimony are more important, but it ticks me off when someone in power is physically--or verbally, for that matter (and we know TFG was often verbally abusive to staff)--to a person of lower rank [b]who would take a bullet for them
. Enough of the toddler talk--this guy is physically and verbally abusive. Let's not compare him to a child--he is an abusive grown-ass man.

He said let MY PEOPLE in, they are not going to hurt ME. He wanted to charge the Capitol with his people. He almost chocked the head of security when he could not do it.

Legally, it will fall under at least 2 hearsay exceptions - present sense impression and excited utterance. It's not hearsay.

Yeah, that behavior is not admirable but it's not impeachable or criminal. Wasn't LBJ as badly behaved or worse?

The more important parts of her testimony were how Meadows and Trump knew everything and wanted violence.

He assaulted his security detail. That is a crime.

A small c crime. For a president, it's not important.

Sheesh.

Back the blue!*

*Some exceptions apply. Ask a Republican for details.

He already exposed his agents to Covid, multiple times, sooo. . .

Is Mark Meadows the weakest person in history? He not only did nothing, he continually hid from anyone who would tell him what was happening.
Anonymous
So, he asked the SS to get rid of the magnetometers. He knew the crowd was armed, he knew they were going to the Capitol, and he thought he was going there himself.
Anonymous
This is the republicans chance to dump Trump and run DeSantis as their nomination. Totally orchestrated.
Anonymous
why can't they summon the security guy to testify to corroborate her testimony? This proves T wanted to go to the Capitol.
