Friends with Kids makes me think of Kissing Jessica Stein. I saw in on the big screen with a Q&A with Jennifer Westfeldt afterward.

I saw this in the theater when it came out, one of my favorites.

+1. Loved Gwyneth's short hair. I was sorry to see her grow it back out right away.

Sadly that amazing haircut got bastardized by Kate Gosselin. It wasn’t the same haircut at all but everyone thought it was.

I think a few people saw it when it came out, but for some reason it's impossible to find anywhere so it's been forgotten. It's so, so good. I laughed and cried buckets.

Yes, wonderful! Ah Alan Rickman!

The 1994 one? That was excellent.

Yes. Giancarlo Esposito was AMAZING.

Loved it, but at one point the tragedies just kept piling on and it became too much.

I definitely prefer Zhang Yimou's earlier films. Raise the Red Lantern was the greatest.

OMG. Are you being serious? This was one of the worst movies I have seen.

This was such a surprise. I had (very) mixed feelings about Colin Farrell going in but really enjoyed it. Neat idea, great cast.

Does anyone know what the issue is about streaming it? I've never read anything indicating why it's not available. I loved the Northern Exposure, for example, but I get that paying the royalties on the music used in the DJ/radio segments became prohibitive for streaming rights. And it wasn't available before Rickman died, so it can't have anything to do with his estate.

Agree, but I think that was also the point, which was obviously well made.

I will have watch Raise the Red Lantern.
