Based on this logic from most people why are you even marrying men and letting them help you raise your children. I know - you think you know them well but hey you never know! This logic says to never leave any child in the company of any men - period.

Yes, it is good advice to never child with non-related males.

The biggest factor by far of childhood abuse is having a non-related male in the home.

My daughter was at a prek with a male teacher, though she was older and more independent. His wife also taught there, so I had zero concerns.

No. Not something I am going to admit if asked in public, but no.

I used to teacher first grade and many students needed help unbuttoning pants or with belts (even though we would tell parents to have kids use elastic pants or easy to unbutton pants) .Or little kids would want to hug on you or grab onto you. It puts male teachers in an awkward position if someone walked in and saw the teacher unbuttoning a young kids pant button.

So if the preschool teacher is too hands on it is seen as being creepy but if they are not hands on enough then the child suffers.

Now add to that the vast majority of preschool teachers who have sexually abused kids are male. The elementary school where I taught a male teacher was convicted of sexual abusing kids the year before I joined the school.

Recent local cases. Here are three but there unfortunately are many more.
August 2024: Maryland. Mark Cobb, 44, is accused of engaging in a year-long texting relationship with a 9-year-old student, during which he allegedly requested and received explicit photos.

June 2024: Matthew Schlegel, 44, who worked as an elementary school teacher in Severna Park, Md., faces 55 charges of sexual abuse of at least eight children under his instruction

2019. Virigina. Several young children were sexually abused at a Virginia preschool, Taylor Keith Boykin, 27, admitted sexually molesting four girls, but prosecutors also revealed as many as 15 children were victims of improper touching by Boykin.

Agree, except we know of exactly zero cases of women preschool teachers sexually abusing their school children in the DMV area. ZERO. EVER.

The long list of men preschool staff perverts sexually abusing children in our area keeps growing and growing.

Crickets. Parents who prioritize flaunting their diversity by entrusting their toddler to an unknown male provider, have lost their mind. Or perhaps they’re simply high risk takers. Child abusers are thrilled with you.
