His actions were suspicious.
How so?

Banking while Black.

The workers in the bank were POC too. How is this racism?

I'm a different poster, and I am black. Black people can have prejudices against people in their race. It's extremely common. It's essentially how we view people.

+1. Racism is like air, we all breathe it in.

Presumably someone like a manager could ask him to remove his mask and sunglasses to confirm his ID? That seems reasonable for a >10,000 withdrawal. Calling the cops is strange for suspected identity theft.

Agree - walking into a bank dressed like a bank robber probably wasn’t the best idea. LA - winter hat, hoodie, sunglasses.
The White man in the bank at the same time had a coat and hat on. The police officers all have coats on. The other man in the video you see outside towards the end had on a coat and hat. Try again, Karen.

DP but additionally: this wasn't in LA. People will really come up with any excuse to criminalize perfectly legal behavior of black people. Well, sure he was withdrawing his own money from his own bank account, but . . . IN A HAT! #backtheblue #hesnoangel

Eh… yeah… but he also handed a note, like a bank robber.

Same race idiots on here as usual.

Yes that idiot handed her a note, lmao. Not a winner in the brains department apparently!

It wasn't. The media and the far left loons will say it is though!

Handing a note was the problem.

This is terrible.

I guess the note said he wasn't to withdraw the money, and count it somewhere discreet. Of course she thought he was a bank robber!

it was a deposit slip. Maybe he didn't want her counting out 12k worth of hundreds loudly.

Looking at the body cam, the cop draws his gun before going for the cuffs. They need to be fired yesterday.

And his face was completely covered like a bank robber. I mean this sounds pretty bad but I don't really blame the teller. Who does that?

For all of the ninnies posting here trying to explain away the bank's racist behavior-- take the time to look up Googler's bio. He's a wunderkind. He is only mid-30s + has terrific accomplishments.

You mean the mask required to enter the building?

You are the "race idiot". She didn't call the police because he handed her a note. She started the transaction.

She called the police because she's terrible at her job and misinterpreted the flag for an over $10K withdrawal as an indication that the transaction was not allowed, and so therefore . . . robbery??? She should have asked someone what the flag meant. She did not, and I repeat: did not think it was a stickup when she got the note. That's not what happened, but you are trying to rewrite the story because then you can pin it on an action of his, rather than the deeply incompetent teller.

Or maybe you never even read the linked article, just came here to comment "Racism doesn't exist!" because that's your hobby.

No wonder he gave them a pass! I was wondering why he didn’t make a bigger deal out of it. Makes sense now.

You are stupid. You have no idea what Bank of America did privately to make things right. Unlike you, a major bank does not want to be accused of racism.
