| No, I always get my own room unless I’m sharing with a family member, including my brother or dad. Last year I went to Africa with my dad on a mission trip and we shared tents and dumpy hotel rooms together. My dad is a serious Four Seasons kind of guy but we had a blast. |

My DH always shares a room with multiple other guys when they travel together (annual guys hiking and/or canoe trips are a big thing with his friend group that has been together since they were little kids). Usually at the end of the trip they have a motel/hotel room for a night before driving home. They tend to have 3/4 guys per room. My DH isn't crazy about it, but when you have a friend group that has basically been intact since 1st grade incomes vary wildly and he isn't going to insist on his own room when some of the other guys don't have a lot of money and it helps them to split the cost of the room. Also, he has no trouble sleeping anywhere, so it really doesn't matter.
I don't tend to travel that much, but I have met up with a girlfriend from law school a few times, and we shared a suite. I attend writers' conferences a lot which is usually shared housing and I HATE it; I have trouble sleeping. |
Mine does this too! It’s really an activity that should be done on demand and within 5 minutes. It’s biology after all! |
LOL, I love sharing a room with my dad. It feels like something from the old tv show the Waltons. We turn the lights out and we just talk the way we did when I was 8 and he’d tuck me in and he’d lie next to me for a few minutes and we’d talk. |
