| Both DH and I have been on girls/boys trips and its always been 2 adults to a room. I don't mind sharing a room with a friend but I won't share a bed or sleep on a pull out couch or air mattress. |

Guys are way more disgusting than women and they all know it. Guys sleep naked or in boxers, they snore, and they stink up the hotel bathrooms.
Whereas women have cute pajamas and love to get ready together. I'm mid 30s and love traveling with my girl friends. I think I'm at a life point though where I'd draw the line at sharing my bed though, but I'd have no problems with a friend in the queen sized bed next to me. We usually all get adjoining rooms or a huge Air BnB |

The answer to this is usually that women are more social than men and often prefer that closeness.
If you don't, however, that's FINE and you can get your own room. I would rather share a room with my best friend than do separate rooms, but I certainly wouldn't want to share a room with a friendly acquaintance. |
| My friends and I might share a suite, but we don't share a hotel room with two queen beds, for example. |
| I would only share with my sister and a couple of select cousins who are like sisters. |
| I would share a room but not a bed. Depends on the cost of the destination. And would share with some friends and prefer not too with others. And that doesn't mean they are lesser friends. It just real nice when you've had experience sharing and it has worked out. |

| Post-kids I want my own room. Upcoming “Moms’ Trip” at an cabin and we all agreed we want our own room, doesn’t matter how small the bed is. |
| I also need my own room. I love girls trips but I need to unwind and nap solo. |
| I won't share a room either. I am happy to go on a girl's weekend but have zero interest in sharing a room regardless of how many beds it has. I will share a large Airbnb as long as there are sufficient bathrooms. |
| My buddies and I share rooms because we know all we are going to do is drink, eat, talk till the small hours and then pass out asleep. We aren’t entertaining women (we are all married), so all we need is a surface to sleep and bathroom. It’s like a weekend frat house. |

Sharing a room is never my first choice but I will with a good friend. I will never share a bed.
My husband never shares a room on guys trips. The only time he has was with his brother on a golf trip his parents were paying for (in his 30s). |
Guy here. This sounds gross. Probably why I've never vacationed with guy friends. It's either with family or solo for me. |
That sounds like every golf/fishing/camping guys trip that I've been on since I was a teenager. I'm 40 and that's still the gist of a guys trip. Usually we'll rent a house or cabin so we have bedrooms, but it's always eating and drinking way too much and then passing out at some point. |
| Most group trips that I have been on in the past 10 years have used AirB&Bs. Everyone gets a room (unless they want to share) but you still get to hang out. And it's usually cheaper. Win-win. |
