I've been talking to mine about considering colleges outside the US so he can avoid the draft and more easily obtain citizenship in another country in the even the US continues to head to a far right, Trump the Dictator shit show.

IMO, Discussions would do well to include:
- Russia’s massive nuclear capabilities which Putin has placed on high alert,
- extensive online misinformation cultural wars to stoke division in the West (highly successful also with driving anti science narratives during Pandemic);
- potential for cyber attacks on power grids and critical infrastructure launched against US and Western allies;
- geography and history lessons around why Russia wants Ukraine so badly: and
- to get info from credible sources rather than social media.

Unfortunately I had to coach my Russian American son on what to do if he is being bullied. I hope nobody realizes he is Russian but who knows.
I told him a leader of the country his parents were born in went crazy and started a war that will potentially have catastrophic consequences for both counties if not the world. He is very level headed so that didn’t give him anxiety (unlike me!)
