You're on every thread for every school district. Wacko.

I don’t care about other school districts. I live in MoCo. But seeing what’s happening in VA makes me excited. Let’s goooooo, MCPS! Normalcy for kids is long overdue!!

It's so funny that its only the PARENTS who cant handle masks. The kids are just fine. It's the adults who long for "normalcy" (whatever that even means), because they are the ones who cant adapt to change. Ridiculous.

The kids are not fine. You also said the kids were fine and thriving with virtual learning and you were wrong about that as well. There will be long term implications especially for the young ones.

Kids are fine in masks. You are not ok with them in masks. Get your mental health checked.

Lots of kids are fine in virtual learning. But, it often takes parental support, which you aren't willing to do.

The long term implications of covid are far more serious than masking.

I care deeply about my kids who’ve suffered enough. Kindergartners shouldn’t have been masked in the first place in my (unpopular) opinion. But now that we have vaccines! Hospitalizations are low. Cases numbers are declining. Let’s do this! Other children can still mask if they want to.

+1 million

Masks optional. Any kid who wants to can wear one. No issues!

Let other kids choose what works for them.

If your kids are struggling with masks, you can always homeschool them. Your school, your rules. Kids who have lost their parents and loved ones to covid are suffering far more. Kids who died of covid suffered greatly their final days. Kids with long term covid issues are still suffering.

0-5 year olds don't have vaccines and these vaccines are not stopping the spread.

Bo, we are a mask forever county.

Yawn. I can’t believe there are people who so obsessed about this. I don’t. I have yet to meet a kid who cares about masks. It’s just not a big deal.

Actually I am fine with them in masks now. But if cases drop like they are, we will be close to zero in the spring and the masks will need to come off. I know my kid hates it...I tried to get her in a KN95 but she gave up after a couple days...too uncomfortable, couldn't breathe.

Long term implications of covid? Really? At our vaccination rate and with cases plummeting, there will be no justification for masking. The good news, you can always muzzle your kid.

Can we at least allow kids to run around at recess without masks at some point? My middle schooler doesn't have to wear a mask outdoors at her school but my 3rd grader does. Both vaxxed in mcps schools.

I hate the masks for little kids. Why are we doing this to them when they don’t even get that sick? It’s crazy.

We think you are a right wing lunatic who has no friends to talk to so you try to get attention here.

Key word: YOU hate the masks. The little kids are fine. Stop trying to make this about you. You can't adapt. They can. They HAVE.

YOU will need to adapt when all our kids unmask this spring. There...see how that feels lol.

Oh, that is just terrible! I think it’s not MCPS policy to require masks outdoors. Not sure what is going on at your kid’s ES.

I told my kids to take their masks off at recess since the beginning. I know some kids do mask, but nobody has ever scolded my kids for being unmasked outside at recess.

Let her wear what she wants. She doesn't need to wear an N95 - a good surgical or cloth mask is fine.

We aren't getting to zero by spring.
