Yup and most schools in the nation are OPEN!! Most parents want schools OPEN. Most parents are fed up with teachers unions.

The parents even won in ultra liberal Chicago against the CTU which now can only close if they have 30% of teachers absent (40% of students absent)...a far cry from what MCPS teachers union is asking for.

yes - parents want schools open. Virtual counts as open. Stop.

virtual is terrible for kids. That's what studies have shown. If you don't want your kids in school, then don't send them. The rest of us want our kids IN school; our kids want to be IN schoo. So, you Stop.

Like I said, petitions are useless. Why would anyone push a petition for something we already have...i.e. OPEN schools.

Can you verify that all 2K for in-person learning are parents of kids in MCPS?

And that's being generous. The newest poll is about 1K.

You likely oversee your child's education from home (virtual or boycott). I'll help a bit. You can use online dictionaries to help understand words.

most
/mōst/
greatest in amount, quantity, or degree

There's the math angle as well. But please don't get excited about the exclamation mark. That's part of a mathematical expression which means "does not equal".

The fact is that no more than 2,185 parents have ever voted for in-person. The current poll for virtual is well over 16K. You know this. That's why you're trying so hard to discredit the results.

DP here.

I have never been asked to "vote" for either option to be applied to the entire school system, and certainly not this month. I opted my own child into hybrid in the spring, and our family declined to apply for the VA this fall. I never officially offered, or was asked to offer, an opinion on what the whole system should do.

More importantly, random online polls set up by highly biased outside groups are not "voting." Not by any stretch of the imagination can ANY of this be considered an accurate picture of the opinions of MCPS parents. And yes, I'm discrediting the "results," but it's really not hard.

Lets call that bluff. Go ahead and send out the poll links (both of them) out through your school's PTA. Let's see what happens?

If a secure poll was directly sent by mcps (NOT the pta) to (and only to) all parents/guardians, then the result would be more believable.

These random petitions are not representative of what mcps parents/guardians want.

After changing their policy mid-week, do you seriously believe MCPS can be trusted at this point?

I'd rather see the MCEA or an independent poll. I'm fine with Change.org.

So because MCPS changes its policy mid-week, nothing MCPS does from here on out can be trusted. got it. lol. better to go with random petitions from change.org that anybody can sign from anywhere.

Why on earth are you still arguing about "real" links for a petition that has no bearing at all on anything? It makes people feel like they've done something to sign it, but that's about it.
