This is probably correct the way it was phrased. In the Spring, everyone was saying covid is over. Back then, even I thought it might be over. Omicron changed all that. |
Oh wait - this survey was June 22 through July 8, 2020??? It wasn't even for this past year 2021???? |
Why would you need a survey in 2021? School is in-person. Aside, this survey was performed at a time of peak covid hysteria when there was little understanding of the virus, no vaccines (nor any on the near horizon), no treatments, etc. |
No one thought the pandemic would stretch more than a year. The same survey rated their Child's Physical Health and Safety as 91.7%. Coronavirus changed covid math since 2020. |

Today Marc Elrich said he is receiving many emails regarding virtual vs in person school and those emails have been about 50/50. Starts at about 5:35.
|
Do us proud Marc! Make MCPS go virtual! |
Are you a russian bot? |

It's not easy. We're a larger school system, with people coming from all sorts of living arrangements. For the kid, in person is a no brainer. For the greater community, though, there are tradeoffs.
Both sides have valid points to make. Unfortunately, there's no "right" answer, either. |
| Reopening parents have to have a say in every. Single. Thing. Shut up already. Schools are open, time for you to go find a life beyond tweeting all day long about mcps. |
You may want to take your own advice. |
Lol. You're exactly right. Go to any other forum and the Covidians are crazy. Travel: "Any good hotel recs in North Carolina?" "HOTELS! You do know we're in a pandemic right? Are you trying to kill your children?" Elementary School: "Do kids still like pin the tail on the donkey at parties?" "PARTIES! PARTIES!?!?!? If you invited me to a party right now, I would curse your name, delete your contact and never let little Larlo talk to your demon child ever again!" Sports: "Is your swim league allowing spectators?" "I'm shocked you mouth breathing MAGA idiots know how to swim. Don't you know we're in the middle of a PANDEMIC!" So yeah, take your own advice, and just shut up about Covid for half a second, please. We beg you. |
Girl you sound unhinged. |

| someone is desperate for virtual. Give it a rest already. The majority of schools in the country and around the world are in person. MoCo has a high vax rate. We are staying open. |
Stay strong Elrich. Keep the schools open. Shutdown the bars, gyms and restaurants first. Schools should be the last to close. |
